Case #3 - Post-Surgical Recovery

A 63 yo male recovering from a radical laryngeal resection contacted me regarding fluid collection/swelling in his neck. Such swelling is not unusual following this type of surgery. He was doing quite well according to his doctors, but he wished to minimize his hospital stay and asked if I could help speed his recovery. Taking care not to disturb the incision site, I used a combination of craniosacral and myofascial work to balance out connective tissue disruptions from the surgery that may have limited venous and lymphatic drainage of that area. I saw this individual on day 2 of his hospital stay. He was able to go home on day 4, three days earlier than he expected.
